On November 7, 2010 a memorial service was held
honoring the memory of 42 residents who now walk with the Lord.
Fr. Larry Nolan officiated at the service with the Knights of
Columbus, Pandora Porcase and the
Contemporary Ensemble Musicians from Seton Parish - Pickerington
and the Hand bell Choir - Fellowship of the Ring from Holy
Spirit Catholic Church in Columbus. Scripture readings,

On October 7th, sixteen adventurous residents searching the
pumpkin patch for the Great Pumpkin. The goat, the sheep, the
horse, the cow and the pig all joined in the search for the
Great Pumpkin. Was the Great Pumpkin finally found? Only the
adventurers know for sure! And, as an added treat,
pumpkins, apple juice and donuts were shared by all on this fun
outing on a beautiful fall day.

"All God's critters got a place in the choir
Some sing low, some sing higher
Some sing out loud on the telephone wire
And some just clap their hands, or paws
Or anything they got.
"All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all."

26th Anniversary of the death of the Foundress of
the
Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm
January 21, 2010
|
January 21, 2010 Theme: Mother and Friend to Priests
This theme was selected during the Year of Priests proclaimed by Pope
Benedict XVI because part of the charism of Mother Angeline bequeathed
to the Congregation and Church was her profound love and respect for
Christ’s priests. For every seminarian, priest and bishop, she was a
dear friend and a loving mother and one who remembered each in prayer
and through a thousand loving acts.
|
|
10:00am Mass began with a procession representing mother’s history of
life: The procession represents Mother Angeline’s history of life:
Flags- Ireland, her place of birth; France- where she entered the order
of the Little Sisters of the Poor; United States- where the Carmelite
Sisters of the Aged & Infirm began. A tea cup symbolizing Hospitality;
The Carmelite Seal; 3 roses representing her dedication to the Trinity;
A Key so Mother Angeline McCrory Manor’s door may always be open to
those in need of our comforting kindness. |

Seminarians |
|
Once again Mother Angeline McCrory Manor is assisting
with the Apostolic Works Program of the Pontifical College Josephinum.
Five young men are with us one day a week through April 2010. They
represent Texas, Arizona, Kentucky, Toledo and Phoenix. Their many
activities include helping with Adoration, heading up group
conversations, one-to-one visits, helping host the birthday parties and
other social gatherings. An October visit to Circle S Farms with our
residents was fun-filled with a hayride, selecting pumpkins in the
pumpkin patches for the residents and enjoying freshly made donuts and
apple juice. Through the visits with our residents they have developed
friendships and have been “adopted” by our residents. They have made
special friends and have been “adopted” by our residents. They have
become part of our family. These times are special for both our
residents and the seminarians.

Thanksgiving 2009
Dear Lord,
Today we give thanks for our many blessings as we pray for those in
need. We give thanks for our family and friends as we pray for those who
are lonely. We give thanks for our freedoms as we pray for those who are
oppressed. We give thanks for our good health as we pray for those who
are ill. We give thanks for our comfort and prosperity as we share our
blessings with others.
On this day of Thanksgiving, may the love of God enfold us, the peace of
God dwell within us and the Joy of God uplift us. Amen.
Thanksgiving Day luncheon shared with fellow residents and their
families.
